Ory

Terms of use

In effect from 29 September 2026

The short version

  • Ory is for adults and gives estimates, not medical advice.
  • The subscription renews by itself until you cancel it in your phone's settings.
  • Your data stays yours, and you can delete your account at any time.

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Hakob Muradyan ("we"), who provides Ory: Calorie & Recipe Coach ("Ory", "the app"). By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Our privacy policy explains how your data is handled and is part of this agreement.

2. Who can use Ory

3. Health

Ory is a tool for weight management. It is not a medical service, and nothing in it is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

You use the app's suggestions at your own judgement. Stop and see a doctor if you feel unwell.

4. Subscription and free trial

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have a legal right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. This right is handled by the store where you bought the subscription.

5. Fair use

Please do not:

To keep the service working for everyone, the number of AI requests per person per day is limited. The app tells you when you reach a limit.

6. Your content and ours

7. Changes and availability

We improve Ory continuously, so features may change, and we may end a feature or the service. If we end the service, we tell you in advance, and you can ask for a copy of your data. We try to keep the app available at all times but cannot promise it will never be interrupted.

8. Ending the agreement

9. Our responsibility

The app is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we give no guarantee that its estimates are correct or that you will reach a particular result, and we are not liable for indirect losses or for losses that come from relying on estimates without your own judgement. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Ory in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life and health, and nothing takes away the rights you have as a consumer in the country where you live.

10. Apple and Google

These terms are between you and us, not with Apple or Google. They are not responsible for the app or its content and have no duty to provide support for it. If the app fails to meet a guarantee, you may tell the store, which may refund the purchase price; beyond that the store has no further obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You also follow the store's own terms when you use the app.

11. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we publish the new version here with a new date. If a change is important, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you continue to use Ory after that date, you accept the new terms.

12. Law and disputes

If a part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force. Please write to us first if there is a problem; most things are solved that way. As a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring a claim before the courts there.
